it is a happy and sad time as we watch little lily change dramatically. she is into her 5th month and seems to be developing at an astonishing rate.
when she is placed down on her back she catapults her legs out straight in front of her, collects her toes in her hands and swings herself over onto her front. this pleases her immensely but does mark the end of her stationary life. at least once a night she cries out for assistance and can be found with a limb protruding from the cot while the rest of her body is twisted around like a croissant.
the other significant development is the start of her teething. everything within range is grasped firmly into her mouth for a chew against her little pink gums.
