change of plan

we were expecting to spend two months in thailand but thanks to lily’s early arrival and the ever-worsening threat of floods in central bangkok it looks like we’ll be checking out in two day’s time.

i get by with a little help...

we have been incredibly lucky over the last five weeks to have visits from our friends in dhaka and the presence of julie, nikki, sarah and gareth in bangkok has helped us all to feel at home.

one week with two children

we are slowly adapting to life with lily. neve has been showering his new sister with kisses but might also be wondering when she's going to go back inside. 

too posh to wash

we are slowly getting to know our little girl. she has beautiful long fingers and long finger nails. she has fine light hair that she likes to snuggle into your neck. she has a pair of dark blue eyes that she opened this morning to boggle at us for the first time. she has a soft feminine voice and is taking her sleeping seriously.

it’s been a pretty eventful day: the centre of bangkok is flooding fast, my dad is retiring after 40 years of ordained ministry at a big service in chelmsford cathedral, the last remaining uk team has left the world cup and we have just welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.

since moving to thailand, neve's social calendar has significantly picked up. sunday mornings are now dedicated to 'kiddy kicks' - forty-five minutes of footballing fun for under twos.
